The printed copies of the books showcasing images from the 2021 (Book XI) and 2023 Book XII) have arrived! Due to COVID induced challenges these books were delayed but are now available! the 2025 book will be available at this years awards event!
The 2026 Wildlife In Focus, Adult and Youth Texas Wildlife & Nature Photography Contests entry period has now closed. The Judges are reviewing images and selecting award winners! We had a tremendous response! Thank you all!

Photo Contests
We are now hosting multiple photo contests with the most recent being the Texas Wildlife & Nature Photographer of the Year, and the Youth- Texas Wildlife & Nature Photographer of the Year.
In our traditional (Since 2001) unique private lands wildlife photo contest, a landowner is paired with a photographer, and together they share the prize money . A book of winning photographs and stories is available for Pre Order now and will be available to pick up at our 2026 Awards Event.

Youth Education
Free for teachers, our elementary and middle school Kritters 4 Kids program brings the beauty and diversity of Texas wildlife directly into the classroom. Combining Wildlife in Focus photo books with fun, TEKS-aligned curriculum guides, the program introduces students to native habitats, conservation, and environmental awareness in an engaging and age-appropriate way.
Each participating classroom receives:
- A set of 20 Wildlife in Focus books
- A deck of Kritter Kards
- Easy-to-use curriculum guides developed by teachers, for teachers
The materials are designed to meet Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards, ensuring educational value while sparking a lifelong appreciation for nature. Curriculum materials are also available online.
