Video File Names
For Video files name them V”A”-“B”-“XXX”
where “A” is the video category number 1,2 or 3,
“B” is either 1 or 2, if you submit two videos in same category,
and “XXX” is your team number

Question 1) Is shooting RAW in FX or DX both acceptable in the rules?
Answer: Yes, as long as RAW file meets the 12 MP minimum (i.e. compressed RAW is OK)
Question 2) CLARIFICATION – Category E07 should have a “+” notation, indicating you may use image stacking…focus stacking etc.
Answer: Rule should read: E07 + *Night Scene Photography (non-wildlife) Stars, moon, landscape, light painting
+ (Image Stitching, High Dynamic Range, and/or Focus Stacking are allowed Submission should include the representative RAW file or files)
Question 3) May I mask my subject and apply separate tonal, contrast and sharpening adjustments? (Not blurring the background but applying a different tone and contrast to it.)? May I apply darken borders/ lighten center to the final image? May I use point color to selectively saturate and luminate a specific color without changing to a completely different color?
Answer: As per the rules, only global (whole image) edits are permitted so none of the options you asked about are permitted. (except for the one category E10 Graphic Art)
Question 4) What category would Swallows be entered?
Answer: Swallows, Martins etc. should be entered in A16 – All other birds
Question 5) What category would Eurasian Collared Does be Entered?
Answer: Eurasian Collared Doves should be entered into A13 Doves, etc
Questions 6) What category?
Answer:
Grossbeaks are to be included in category A15·
Cowbirds are to be included in category A13·
Ospreys are to be included in category A01·
Curlews are to be included in category A06·
· Porcupines are to be included in category B09 All Other Mammals
Question 7) What RAW files to submit with Star image created using focus stacking.
Answer: For images created with Focus Stacking with Star /Astro photos and other focus stacking images you only need to submit
ONE RAW image used in the set.
